JAMES WRIGHT

James qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO and later moved to work for PwC, one of the "Big Four" accountancy firms.  James has extensive business and accounting knowledge from working in an accounting practice and also in businesses.  

After leaving PwC James worked for a large multinational organisation and spent two years travelling around the world working for them in various finance roles before being appointed Finance Director for one of their UK companies (all before the age of 30!).  As Finance Director James was responsible for all aspects of the Finance, Purchasing and IT departments for a £60m turnover business which manufactured products in the UK and exported worldwide.  James was recognised in the ICAS Top 100 Young Chartered Accountants 2018 for his work with this business, as well as shortlisted for a Yorkshire Finance Leaders award.

Not being content with reaching such a senior position at a very early age, James moved to another multinational organisation that was going through a rapid growth and transformation phase to help them with Financial Planning & Analysis and also to run the finance function for the UK, helping control businesses with combined turnover in excess of £600m and employing more than 5,000 people.  

James' experience in accountancy practice, as well as working directly in businesses, gives him a wealth of knowledge and skills which can be shared with you.

James started his first business when he was a teenager, providing mobile disco & DJ hire for weddings and events - you will still find him DJ-ing at weekends now!  Accountant by day, DJ by night.
